Customizing Shortcuts
- Go to Settings > Dictation > Keyboard Shortcuts.
- Click the shortcut recorder field next to the action you want to change.
- Press your desired key combination (supports Cmd, Shift, Ctrl, Option with A-Z, 0-9, function keys, and symbol keys).
- The new shortcut is saved immediately.
To change the hold-to-talk modifier, use the picker to select Option, Control, Function (fn), or Disabled.
Resetting to Defaults
Click Reset to Defaults in Settings > Dictation > Keyboard Shortcuts to restore all shortcuts to their factory settings.
Hold-to-Talk Behavior
- Hold the configured modifier key to begin recording.
- Release the key to stop recording and transcribe.
- Press any other key while holding the modifier to cancel the recording.
